I chose to become a ‘changemaker’ because I strongly felt the responsibility to do something about the imbalance

What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?

An amazing network of people from a diverse background, interested in creating a sustainable world.

Why are you passionate about sustainability? What was the moment or event that made you decide to become a 'change maker' in your field?

Passion gives me purpose in life and directs my energy towards what I devote myself to; sustainability is my passion as I sense what nature provides for the community of life that exists and what it will not be able to provide in the future if we do not value or view it as something that is not separate from us. I chose to become a ‘changemaker’ because I strongly felt the responsibility to do something about the imbalance, and provide opportunities for others to re- connect to nature and what will be lost if we continue to take the path we are going on.

Why is leadership for sustainability is important?

Leadership for sustainability is important to inspire the younger generation to be a part of the movement to create a more sustainable and just world.

What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?

Early next year, I will be journeying back into the Murray River with a canoe, but this time travelling from source to sea. Exploring and learning about place slowly and attentively whilst hoping to find people who are living close and careful with place, growing with the land and learning to be at home along the river. The journey will be a fantastic immersion in place to concentrate the heart, thought and my intention and no doubt shape my future sustainability journey from all the learning’s I have along the way.
