CSL Alumni will change the world
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
The whole can be greater than the sum of the parts - CSL Alumni will change the world
Why are you passionate about sustainability? What was the moment or event that made you decide to become a 'change maker' in your field?
I see too many people that have the opinion that someone else will ‘fix things’ it’s not up to them and that ‘greenies’ will sort it out. It’s time for change, profit and business are key motivators to many and if the success of business can positively impact the planet that’s the change it want to get behind.
Why is leadership for sustainability important?
Leaders in any field are important, whether it is in business, politics, fashion, religion or through social trends, they are the ones that set the trend and steer the ship. Good leadership in sustainability is particularly important as it has the ability to transcend all sectors to engage and create positive change on both micro and macro levels.
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
I believe that the business community provides the answer to many of our social and environmental issues and can be part of the solution to a more sustainable approach. I aim to promote the redefinition of success in business, expanding on the traditional free-market approach of profit only measures, to a new model that incorporates social responsibility as a success marker creating a win-win business model for the entrepreneur and the planet.
