It is our individual and collective responsibility to ensure that every being on this planet lives a full, happy, and healthy life
What was the most valuable thing you got out of CSL?
Why are you passionate about sustainability? What was the moment or event that made you decide to become a 'change maker' in your field?
I have always been passionate about sustainability. There was no light bulb moment for me, just a gradual realisation that there is nothing else in the world more worthy of devoting your life to. It stems from a deep sense that we are all intimately connected. It is our individual and collective responsibility to ensure that every being on this planet lives a full, happy, and healthy life, free of suffering, now and forever more.
Why is leadership for sustainability is important?
Humanity has never faced a bigger crisis – every human must use their unique set of strengths, abilities and vision to steer us safely to a thriving society and planet.
What do you plan to do next on your sustainability journey?
I will continue to work with government and non-government organisations to ensure the best environmental programs are supported and improved on. My long term goal is to start my own consultancy and work from a rural property in Northern NSW that will be 100% self sufficient. I plan to record a new album in the new year, including a few songs that were inspired by my CSL experience. Several of the songs have sustainability themes and I plan to continue use my music as a vehicle for promoting positive social change. I have a dream of doing an Australian tour by bicycle at the end of next year :)
