About the Fellowship Program.

The Centre for Sustainability Leadership Fellowship Program is our flagship training program. We select a group of passionate people from all around the globe who demonstrate potential to lead efforts for the creation of a more sustainable world. Twenty-five participants are selected for the Sydney and Melbourne programs from hundreds of applicants each year. In this intensive course, we develop the skills required to realise this potential. We provide cutting edge curriculum, open doors to unparalleled networks, and give participants access to leadership experience rarely available in the early to mid stages of a career.

2010 Fellowship Program
Applications for the 2010 Melbourne and Sydney Fellowship Program are now closed.

The Fellowship Program is an eight-month program consisting of weekly workshops, group project activities, a mentorship program and residential retreats. The emerging leaders are pushed beyond their respective comfort zones, resulting in a dramatic recalibration of their confidence, competence and expectations. Our vision for the Fellowship Program curriculum is to change lives by providing fellows with the vision, tools, networks and inspiration to change the world. The course focuses on developing the essential qualities and skills required for leadership, and provides practical opportunities to apply these. There is a focus both on the long-term goals of developing leadership capacity, as well as shorter-term goals of career development and transition, project development, and promoting involvement in existing initiatives.

In 2010 the program will be run in Melbourne and Sydney and applications are open to students currently enrolled at university, young professionals and those seeking a step up in the area of sustainability. There is no age limit for applicants. To ensure the quality of the experience only twenty-five people will be able to take part in the program. The Fellowship Program is scholarship based (a small contribution of $3,500 to assist covering costs is asked form each participant) and includes four main aspects: skills workshops; retreats; a self-directed sustainability project and individual mentorship. Full scholarships are available to a select number of fellows who cannot afford the $3,500 contribution.

We have a long term vision for a new type of leadership in Australia. Read about what our graduates are already achieving in their first years.
