‘A Cleaner Home for a Cleaner World’ is a fundraiser running from November 19th to December 7th involving hundreds of companies across Melbourne to raise money to support CSL’s operations. It works by asking people to spring clean their homes and donate any items of value that they no longer use to our “auction pool”. It’s a great way to clear out all the extra things we collect, and put it towards a program making systematic change in the world!
The program will be based in offices across Melbourne with “ambassadors” in each workplace encouraging colleagues to bring in items of value they no longer need, and then placing them in a central collection box in a common staff area. After December the 7th We’ll then list the items donated on E-bay’s auction website, to raise the biggest sale price possible. All the money made after listing and processing costs are removed will go towards training young leaders take on the challenges of sustainability.
*How do I take part?*
We are asking you to get your workplace involved by setting up a collection box in a common area in your office and encouraging colleagues to donate goods. We will provide you will a complete pack to make this fun and easy including donation boxes, posters and postcards and advice on how to get staff involved. If you can help us out, please contact Jack Fuller on 0422 344 610 or email jack.fuller@csl.org.au with your address so he can send you the pack.
